History of "Environmental Justice" Movements

Hii! I am putting together curriculum for youth to teach them about Environmental Justice, and I'm trying to find examples of militant movements that fought for EJ. A lot of them seem to be indigenous struggles like that of the EZLN, but I'm trying to find more examples and preferably shorter summary pieces instead of specific deep dives. I just want to provide a contrast to the whitewashed "non-violent civil disobedience" that students get shoved down their throats in school. Would be cool to see a range of time too, anywhere from resistance to centralized power in ancient empires to current struggles. Thank you so much :P
